Re: Hong Kong Securities and Derivatives Markets - Severe Weather Arrangements (effective from 23 Sep 2024)

According to the announcement from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited ("HKEx"), the securities and derivatives markets (including Stock Connect, derivatives holiday trading and after-hours trading sessions) will remain open and provide trading, clearing and settlement services during severe weather conditions effective from September 23, 2024.
Severe weather conditions includes:
1. Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or
2. Black Rainstorm Warning is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory, or
3. Extreme Conditions is announced by the HKSAR Government

During severe weather conditions, we will, as far as practicable, perform our daily operations as usual including stocks and futures trading services, while on-site and other non-electric services may be affected. Client should pay attention to fulfil their payment obligations arising from the settlement of securities transactions, futures and options contract transactions or to comply with the margin call requirements.
As branches and counter services in Banks of Hong Kong may be closed during severe weather conditions, it is recommended that Clients to utilize electronic fund transfer and adjust the electronic transfer limit in advance in case of need to fulfil the payment obligation.
